Inoue Tsuguya is a Japanese art director and graphic designer who has worked on advertising, music and book projects. He is known for his bold combination of photography and typography in his work for YMO, PARCO and Comme des Garçons.

Japanese graphic designer and art director Inoue Tsuguya was born in Miyazaki in 1947. He has designed advertising, music and book projects and founded his own design studio, Beans, in 1978. Suntory, Parco, Asahi Shimbun, and Comme des Garçons are just a few of the brands for which he has taken on the artistic direction of advertising campaigns.

Inoue Tsuguya has designed CD covers for famous musicians, such as Sakamoto Ryuichi's Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence in 1983.

Among his many book designs is Santa Fe, a nude photo book published in 1991, photographed by Shinoyama Kishin with Miyazawa Rie as the model. It remains one of the best-selling nude photo books of all time in Japan.

Inoue Tsuguya is a member of the Tokyo Art Directors Club (Tokyo ADC), the Tokyo Type Directors Club (Tokyo TDC), and the Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA).
